12 ounces small petite carrots
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tbsp dark brown sugar

Microwave the carrots for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes and let stand 1 minute. Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat and add maple syrup, brown sugar and cook till sugar is melted and mixture becomes syrupy. Add cooked carrots and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
