Hello,
I have a question for you all. I have had some cubed steak in my freezer since 12-05-2006. I am not sure if it is still good or not. Because I don't know how long you can keep items in the freezer before they spoil. Can anyone tell me if this is still edible. Thanks.

Hello gabsmom123,

Cubed Steak can be frozen 3 to 4 months. If it is already cook, only 2 to 3 months.

HTH :)

I don't go by dates much, as long as it has been frozen all the time and not partially thawed and it isn't freezer burned I'd use it. If I threw out all the food by dates we'd be throwing away a lot as we live so far away from stores I have to bulk shop when it is available. And if I do find a freezer burned item the dogs get a cooked treat!

As long as it looks & smell good I would use it.

I'm with everyone else. I don't see a problem with using it. Of course, if you cook it and it really stinks, you might want to have a backup option. ;)

Okay. I will try to cook it and see how it does. This is just one of those questions that I never had an answer to because so many people say different things, but I will get the other option ready just in case. Thanks ladies for the advice

I would love some recipes, thank you! Something about winter time makes me feel like I am in a rut with cooking, I'm not sure what it is. So please, anything new would be wonderful!
