This is great over pancakes
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
2 cups apple cider
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup unsalted butter
In a saucepan stir together sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in apple cider and lemon juice and bring to a boil stirring constantly till thickened, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the butter. Serve warm or cold. Makes 2 3/4 cups
