Strawberry Shortcake

Hi,
I am needing a recipe for a homemade strawberry shortcake or semi-homemade. My husband does not like it with the regular strawberries. He wants me to use the other stuff(can't quite think of the name but it is like the syrup version) Does anyone have a recipe for this? Thanks.

You mean he wants his strawberries pureed? I've not seen a recipe using a puree, but you might want to do a google search for "strawberry puree" shortcake and see what you can come up with.

No, It's not puree. I think it is more the less the strawberry type filling like a strawberry topping that they put on ice cream sundaes. Did you have a recipe with that topping involved?
