Hello,
I have a 15 week old baby girl. I am having trouble trying to get her to slee at night. She only wants to sleep on her stomach and I am afraid of that because of the SIDS. When I attempt to lay her on her back she immediately wakes up. Older people will tell you to put cereal in their milk and that will help them sleep at night. I have tried it and she still is not sleeping long. Can someone please give me some tips?

Gansmom, as I suggested in another thread, try our sister site, Family Corner, (http://www.familycorner.com) since it isn't only food related. The wonderful members they may also give you some terrific ideas.

However, I will tell you this. I am a firm believer in schedules. Children need schedules and routine. You need to wake them up at the same time every morning, give them a nap at the same time every day, and put them to bed at the same time, every night. Newborns have touble adjusting to a schedule too since they have never been on one. If your baby has gotten off her schedule, you could skip a nap, if she were older, so that she'll go to sleep on time at night and get back on schedule.

Be patient, newborns do take some time to adjust. Good luck!
