2 T oil
3 T sugar
1 large egg
1 c flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
4 T milk
1/8 t allspice (opt)
additional granulated sugar (opt)
confectioners' sugar (opt)

Combine well the oil, egg and milk . In a separate bowl combine well the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and allspice. Then add the egg mixture to the dry mixture and combine well. Drop by spoonful into hot (375°F.) oil in deep pan on stovetop or in deep fryer. Fry until golden brown (you may have to turn them over as they cook to get all parts browned). Remove from oil, draining carefully but while still damp from frying, roll hot doughnut holes in the granulated sugar or confectioner's sugar OR you may simply leave them plain. Makes 1 dozen.

Do these taste like usual donuts holes you buy? I only ask as I've tried a donut recipe before and they were, quite frankly horrible, so just curious.

Keep in mind they aren't a yeast doughnut, if that's what you are looking for.

I'd like to try these, but because I'd have to eat them myself I probably won't get to try them~! Please... whoever makes them or has made them do they taste like Krispy Creme Doughnut holes? (Now my mouth is watering! LOL)
