How do you celebrate the Super Bowl?

My husband and Big DS watch it for the commercials, if the Eagles aren't playing.
I generally do my weekly food shopping during the game. The store is empty except for a few other women with the same idea :)

I don't celebrate the Super Bowl. DH does, IF he is home and not having to work. I do have several friends who do go all out for the Super Bowl though.

We always watch it. It's one time of the year where we will buy frozen "junk" to try that I normally wouldn't pay for any other time.
I have no idea what we will make this year.
Since my Steelers aren't in it........gotta say......
GO INDY!!!

While I was in Ga I used to throw big parties but since I'm in NC, I plan to go to either a friend's house or my cousin's house and help w/ the cooking and just enjoy the party. lots of good food and good friends getting together

Hello everyone, I just registered here just this week.
Soz for my laziness, but I was wondering if someone could point me to any particularly relevant posts that I should have a read of first, so I can get up to speed here?
Thanks very much, Mike

Mike, welcome to Moms Menu! Please pop over to the Welcome Thread (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12410#post12410)so that you can be properly welcomed! There you can also share a little about yourself such as your interests and likes and dislikes. I look forward to getting to know you.
I personally like the Recipe Swap (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15) threads as they have recipes that other members have personally tried and enjoyed rather than recipes that you might find on the Internet that have only been tried in test kitchens. Plus, I like to be able to ask the cook what he or she liked about it or if that person has ever used substitutions.
Also, the Chit Chat thread (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1773&goto=newpost) is good for general chatting about anything.
What are you interested in?

My Husband & I watch the game together and I usually fix lots of homade snacks for us, but he'll buy snacks from the store also!!
When the teams are not of our liking playing, we choose a team each and bet on them with each other. But this year, the team we both wanted got into the super bowl!! The colts!! We love Peyton, he played for UT before he went to the colts and we love UT football!!
If by chance the colts don't win, at lease we got to see them play in a superbowl!!

While DH is watching the Super Bowl, I will be snacking on some Totinos Pizza, since Bobby and his car is on the box! I can't wait for NASCAR to start. I am glad we have 2 TV sets since DH will be watching Super Bowl all day. lol
