Wal-Mart Announces Voluntary Recall of Sam's Choice 'Nature Trail' Trail Mix Sold at: Wal-Mart Stores
BENTONVILLE, Ark., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) announced that it has initiated a voluntary nationwide food product recall of certain lots of its store brand trail mix. Wal-Mart removed affected lots of Sam's Choice "Nature Trail" Trail Mix from sale after receiving reports of finding glass in the product.

The product is supplied to Wal-Mart by Ann's House of Nuts. Wal-Mart asks customers who purchased the affected Sam's Choice "Nature Trail" Trail Mix to please return the product for a full refund or replacement.

Wow thanks. I just sarted to buy some last week, but decided I could make it cheaper; glad now I didn;t buy it because I would have eaten some of it on the way home from Bloomington!

I guess I should have added some to this. You can buy the trail mix - although my walmart appeared to have taken it off the shelves. what you're supposed to do is check your cupboards for the trail mix in the event that you may have already purchased it. I checked the package I had and the dates did not match up although the upc does. I have checked the contents and don't see anything that resembles glass.

You know what I was just looking through here and I had no clue that this had been recalled. I won a gift basket around the time of this recall which had some of the trail mix in it. I guess it is a good thing that I don't like trail mix.

I usually any more make my own so it has things in it I like. Plus we keep a tin in each vehicle for those hungries when we are on the road (keeps us from stopping at places we shouldn't) LOL I also throw some inidividual wrapped hard candies DH can eat.

It is getting to the point that so many things are being recalled for people as well as animals you almost hate to shop anymore. Glad my garden is starting to come in, we'll snack on those things a lot!
