24 each large shrimp
24 each whole water chestnuts, drained
12 slices bacon, sliced in half

Wrap one piece of bacon around one shrimp and one water chestnut. Repeat. Melt half of butter in a large skillet and cook bacon wrapped shrimp until bacon is brown and crispy, approximately 3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside. Repeat with remaining butter and bacon wrapped shrimp. Preheat broiler.

Creamy Horseradish Sauce:

6 T butter, divided
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c cream cheese
3—4 T prepared horseradish
1 T fresh lemon juice
1 T hot sauce
white pepper, to taste

Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Place all sauce ingredients in a medium bowl until well blended. Season. Spoon sauce over bacon wrapped shrimp and water chestnuts. Broil until golden brown. Serve warm.

I have never purchased chestnuts. Where would I find these?

You'll find water chestnuts in the oriental section of the grocery story. They are sold in a can and packaged in water.
