3/4 lb raw shelled shrimp, ground
1-1/2 c cabbage, chopped
4 T water
1-1/2 T soy sauce
1/2 T Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
1/2 t sugar
1/2 t sesame oil
Dash of pepper
1 pkg won ton wrappers (square or round)
Dipping Sauce:
2 T Asian sesame with ginger dressing
2 T soy sauce
1 T water
Mix together all ingredients, except won ton wrappers, until well blended and smooth. Divide into 30 portions. Place one portion of the filling in the middle of a won ton wrapper. Bring opposite edges together and pinch them together to hold. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Line a steamer with a damp cloth. Set the dumplings 1” apart. Steam over high heat for 5 minutes. Remove and serve.
