Great topic! :)

I am liking this recipe too! I am sending my sister some fudge for Christmas and now I am thinking that this recipe might work good for a treat for my nephews. ;) Wonder if this would work with Golden Graham cereal?

Yes, the golden grahams cereal would work great and you delete the having to break up the graham crackers! Have any of your recipes to share?

I don't have a clue yet what we will be making but when I figure it out, I'll post any kid-friendly recipes.

My kids are really "into" cooking now. They love to help with everything....now, if I only had the patience to let them make a mess sometimes. ;)

We like to do a version of white christmas.

White Chocolate to melt
Mixed dried fruit (or chopped red/green cherries, raisins)
Rice bubbles (Crispies)

Melt white chocolate as per instructions
Mix in the above ingredients well till all is coated
Place teaspoonfuls onto a baking paper lined tray
Let set on a cool bench area, and place into an air tight container to store in the pantry or fridge. Keeps for a while.

These look nice when put into tiny patty papers with a red or green cherries on top.

No hard and fast amounts, melt your chocolate and add what amounts of ingredients look right, you can always add more.

Chocolate Popcorn Clusters

12 cups plain popped popcorn ; hot air popcorn works best
3 cups peanuts, salted or unsalted
1-3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup butter

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Grease a large roasting pan. Line a large cookie sheet (or two smaller ones) with waxed paper. Measure the popcorn and peanuts into the roasting pan. In a small saucepan combine the chocolate chips, corn syrup and butter. Place over low heat and cook stirring till the mixture is smooth and just beginning to boil. Remove from heat and pour over the popcorn mixture, tossing to coat everything as evenly as you can.Place in the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes stirring every 10 minutes. Remove from oven and dump popcorn mixture onto the waxed paperlined cookie sheet. Let cool completely and then break into clumps to serve. Store in an airtight container.

Chocolate Popcorn Clusters

I'll have to give this one a try! I probably wouldn't make 12 cups at a time, so I'm glad to see that it can easily be halved. I'm willing to try just about *anything* with chocolate. :)

You'd be surprised at how fast it disappears; you may have wished once you halve it that you made the whole amount! LOL:D

Hey, if I made those Chocolate Popcorn Clusters, maybe I could get my husband to eat popcorn! He really doesn't like it much, unless we get the stuff at the movies, and even then he doesn't eat much. Good thing I like it, or I'd be mighty upset about wasting the money on it. ;)

Has he ever tried different seasonings on the popcorn or is it just the fact that it is popcorn that he doesn't care for?
