Potato Rye Bread for the Bread Machine

1 c buttermilk
1 1/2 t salt
3/4 c instant mashed potatoes, prepared
1/2 t freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 T sugar
2 1/4 cups bread flour
3/4 c rye flour
1 T caraway seeds
2 1/4 t bread machine yeast

Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions.

Note: A regular potato can be boiled and mashed and used in place of the instant mashed potatoes - just increase the buttermilk to 1 1/2 cups.

Umm, I make potato bread in my bread machine and we love it, my recipe uses dry potato flakes just added as it without mixing them into mashed potatoes. I never thought of a rye potato bread. Will have to give this one a try! Thanks for sharing!
