3 quarts water
1 head dill for each jar
1 c salt
1 clove garlic for each jar
1 quart Vinegar
5 quarts cukes

Wash cukes and pierce with a silver fork. Pack in clean jars with dill and 2 pieces of garlic. Mix water, vinegar, and salt and bring to boil. Pour over cukes and seal. *If desired shake f.g. Alum over pickles before sealing. (For crunch)*

I use the alum, it makes for a crispier pickle.
