What's your dinner time? Is it the same each day?

Our dinner hour varies depending on DH. Normally he gets home a little after 6, if he is on time. So dinner is on the table between 6:15 and 6:30. I'd love to eat earlier, but he can't get in the door any earlier than that.

Since it is just DH and me and we don't work any longer we don't have any schedule at all including supper time. It all depends on what we are involved in each day on when we eat. It ranges from 5pm at the earliest to as late as 11pm, we usually end up eating around 8pm. Like tonight, supper is still cooking and it is 9:30 pm. I did a lot of outside work today late so supper just waits! LOL

Well, it depends on my schedule as well. Hubby works shift work and I am doing all kinds of things at all odd hours of the day and night with school. 2 nights I have classes that are 6-9 pm. So, we eat the main meal when we can. We have no set time either.

Ours varies day to day. I try to aim between 5:30-6:30 everyday.

It depends on what everybody has going on that day, lately its been free for all. In other words each person finds what they can to eat.

Our dinner time is usually 6 pm, in winter as it gets dark early and as the days lengthen and we go into spring and summer it's usually 6.30, to give the kids a bit of extra playing time outside. More often than not the go back outside after dinner anyway.

We usually eat at 4:30pm when school is in session...I actually prefer eating early, otherwise we tend to look for cookies around this time, and I feel a meal is a wiser selection...also, it gives us plenty of time to get to school events in the evening..

My hubby gets home between 5:30 and 6, so I usually have dinner ready when he walks in the door. We always eat together at the table, my hubby, son and I. I think it is so important to catch up with each other and our days!!!!

Our dinner time is also "whenever" if I am gone off during the day it is generally late likewise if Adam is working one of his part time jobs, one he gets off at 6 and the other at 9. So we just wing it

I can't tell you how nice it is to hear we are not the only late eaters. Around here everyone seems to have no problem getting it on the table by 5:00 or 6:00. Dh is retired & often makes the main course, I get home between 4:30 & 5:00 & by the time I catch up with dh, dd gets her time & I put the finishing touches on dinner it is at least 6:30 often 7 or 7:30. We do all, dh, myself dd & dgd eat together even if it's just breakfast food. Dd#3 often drops by to eat as her dh works nights. It is crazy but usually fun as well.

We usually eat around 6:30. When DS was here (he's off in college most of the year), we all ate together most nights. I agree that it was a really nice chance to catch up with what's happening with everyone.
