View Full Version : Broth from Chicken & Dumplings

I made a batch of chicken and dumplings today. For some reason (maybe I started with too much) I have a lot of creamy broth left over after I take out the last bit of chicken & dumplings.

I'm sure I can freeze this broth--what would be some good uses for it? I have about 3 cups.

Well good ole chicken rice soup, broth for homemade stuffing, liquid in mashed potatoes instead of milk, or some homemade chicken gravy! Now I'm hungry! LOL

You can also make creamed chicken with it and serve it with mashed potatoes and biscuits

I think I might use it to make chicken pot pie at some point. It's the perfect consistency for that. Meanwhile I froze it until I'm ready to do that.
