We cook on the grill all the time. Doesn't matter the season, we use it! Do you?

OMG! We use ours year round too! I have a large propane grill, one that uses wood and two firepits we grill on. We don't use those as often since we moved because of having to go downstairs to get out to them, but the weather doesn't stop us. I've brushed snow off them to cook on and used an umbrella standing at one! LOL I just recently got a free small propane grill that I'm putting out on our deck from the bedroom so I can cook out more often without having to go downstairs. Nothing like smelling grilled food in the middle of winter!

I have a little cheap one here while I am going to school and we have a grill/smoker in Carlsbad. We use both year round.

I think winter grilling is best; nothing like smelling grilled food in the middle of a snow storm!

Guss I should change my vote...DH finally went and got a new grill! At the beginning of the summer he went to clean our old one and the insides completely disintegrated in his hands. Hopefully we'll have better luck this time.

Don't you just hate it when that happens? Seems like just the fact of using them "melts" the insides away! Guess they are made like every thing else now a days; not to last long so you have to buy a new one!

That grill was definitely built as a "replaceable" item. When we researched the cost of new "insides" it was about $10 more than a comparable new grill!
There won't be TOO much grilling for a little while, since I don't have the kind of meats that do well on grills, right now, since we hadn't had one. Plus, I don't grill....and DH gets home after 6. We aren't waiting too long for dinner at that point. So grilling usually only happens around here on weekends or his days off, when he gets one.

We grill lots of veggies on ours, slice squashes, onions and other things, spray with olive oil from a misto sprayer or put FF french dressing on them and grilll---yum!

When we have a brunch, DH likes to make a big grill basket full of breakfast sausage. He cooks it with the lid closed and shakes up the basket every so often. Our guests love it, and it's easy to clean up the mess afterward.

Oh that sounds good! Never thought of that; it sure would be easier than cooking that on the stove!

We use our bbq/grill any time of the year, it's under cover and it doesn't get "that" cold. It also means that hubby has to cook as it's his domain and I don't have pots and pans to clean after!

I wish I could get DH to use the grill, he has never touched one and refuses! So I have to do the grilling too:(

We grill outside, rain, sunshine, snow...for our grill is under a covered deck..it is like our outside cookstove. My hubby cooks outside most of the time, and I am usually making the salad and getting the rest of the meal done.
I also love to make veggie packs and grill them outside and my hubby grills french fries too..so tasty.
We use a gas grill..
Hugs, Janet

Cat Lover, my hubby used the frozen Oreida Fries...he likes the steak fries or cottage fries..
He puts a single layer of french fries on Foil..and throws that on the warmer rack in the gas grill...and in the meantime, he starts grilling his burgers, or hot dogs...and they seem to all come together at the same time...I never knew it could be done either..or never thought about it. lol
They actually taste much better than the ones in the oven....not that I am suppose to eat them.:p

Thanks janet! I don't know why I never thought of doing that either, but sure sounds like a good idea!
Sorry, I do not have an outside grill, which we c all a BBQ. The Village own one and we have had two BBQs in the last 3 weeks. I own a small electric grill inside which I use quite often. Chops, Sausages, Chicken and Tomatoes are the main things I grill. Do not eat onions very much, but other peoplke use the elctric grill inside for cooking onions. Thanks for your greetings. Marj

Marj, my parents had to buy an electric grill when they moved into a neighborhood that does not allow charcoal or gas grills. But they couldn't use it inside--it's the size of a small round charcoal grill. Is your electric grill one of the "contact" grills with plates above & below the food?

Barbszy; okay I'm being nosey ole me again, but do your parents live in a retirement community or just a really nice neighborhood? I'd die without my gas grill and my wood burning grill! Guess I'd be kicked out! LOL

Cat lover, yes--they moved to a retirement community 3 years ago. I refer to it as "Restrictive Living." There are SO many rules! Dad was not happy that he had to give up his favorite grill. You should see him trying to grill for 16, when we all come to visit with our kids!

Restrictive Living; now that's a cute way of rewording it! LOL I guess the rules have their time and place, but I don;t think I could "buckle under"; thanks for answering my nosey question!
