I am sad that he was killed. I feel for his family. However, I am not surprised. I told my DH a while back that I was surprised that he hasn't been killed or severly injured from the risks he takes. I think he knew the risks of his job. I hope it was quick and painless for him though.

According to the story on Yahoo it was quick. His wife was hiking in Tanzania when it occurred. We also said the same thing....he is going to get killed with how he taunts the creatures he is handling. We used to watch his show every evening. We just watched an episode last week.

I was sad because my son was very upset by it. He loved watching his shows.
Personally, I think that when you are in that line of work, you have to know that it could happen at any time.
I feel for his kids because they wont grow up with their Daddy. :(

Terri was in Tasmania Aust most southern state, with the kids hiking when Steve died in my state, but much up north of Queensland.
I know many Aussies didn't like his manor or his ockerisms (over the top croc dundee style) but we met once walking through the Zoo 6yrs ago when the zoo was much smaller, no easy feat when he's mostly away saving and filming animals.
Did anyone watch Terri Irwins interview on tv?

I didn't get to see the interview on television, but I heard about it. I agree that he was "over the top" and that is probably why I was never into his type of programs. However, I do think that his "over the top" style is what made him famous and so well liked by his fans. I know everyone that I know who love him love the way he acted and talked in such a crazed manner. lol
