I used to make this all the time and just recently came back across the recipe; it was given to me by a friend almost 30 years ago.
1 cup minute rice
1 bos frozen broccoli (broken up)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can water chestnuts, chopped
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp margarine
dash frozen onions
8 oz. jar cheese whiz
Mix all ingredients and spoon cheese whiz on top. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 40 minutes. Mix occasionally. Serves 6
