WE are in the planning stage of redoing our kitchen and are looking at appliances. I was wondering if anyone owns or knows of someone who owns the new sidekick freezer/refrigerator.

No, but I would LOVE to have one. I have 2 deep freezers. A sidekick would be easier to get food in and out of.

I haven't really looked at that one. We just purchased a bottom freezer refeigerator and I love it. We replaced a side by side that had no room for anything.

I have an old early 1950"s natural gas range that I want to convert to propane. It is a five burner range and the fifth burner converts into a stovetop griddle. Really a nice large old stove in great shape. I want to build an outdoor kitchen for it. Anyway, I've been told two different things on what I have to do. One person told me I would have to convert the incoming orfice and all the burners and another said only the incoming orfice would need to be changed. So... has anyone else had to convert a natuiral gas range to propane, especially an old one? Help!

Nope cat lover, no ideas for you. Sorry
Our fridge/freezer is a side by side and is great. We had to move a cupboard in our new house by 3 cm to fit it in, but I wasn't happy to change it, so the kitchen change was easier! Also changed our oven and cooktop. The one's here were 25 years old, like the house, and needed a change!

Sounds great...a side kick..never seen one..
Just stay away from a side by side...it is okay, if you don't cook alot. lol

When we moved three years ago we bought all new appliances. I had a refrigerator/freezer with the freezer on the bottom and loved it! But hubby insisted on a ice and water dispenser in the door on the new one! At that time side by side was the only way to get that so we ended up with a side by side. It is okay, but the freezer bottom refrigerator seemed to have much more space inside even though they are both 25 cu ft. Now of course you can get the freezer botom and still have the in the door features! But since this is only three years old I can't justify another new one. I bought a smaller refrigerator for the garage with the intention of using it for drinks, but I find myself storing extras down there in it! LOL

The side kick is a full freezer unit and a full refrigerator unit made so that you can put them side by side and with a trim kit make it look like one unit. When ever my kitchen gets done I will let you all know how it worked out.

Just wondered it you can give any review yet? I am going to have to go into an appliance store and take a look at these; sounds like a great idea!
