DUNGWORMS
I know the name sounds gross but this is absolutely DE-LISH! It tastes even better when it's reheated. My uncle used to cook this for us kids whenever we went to visit. I had a hard time getting him to give me the recipe because he never measured when he cooked.

1 lb elbow macaroni
1/4 lb american cheese (cut up or broken slices)
1 lb lean hamburg
1 15oz can stewed tomatoes

Brown hamburg and drain. Cook and strain macaroni. Rinse with hot water. Add tomatoes and mix. Add cheese and mix until it melts. Add hamburg and mix well. Leftovers can be frozen.

I have no idea...I am the youngest of 5 so the name was decided long before I got there. Maybe because the elbows look like worms and the hamburg looks like dung?

It's not a spicy meal (as you can tell by the ingredients). Every time we went to visit, the first thing we did was say hello, then we looked in the freezer for the container of dungworms so we could take it out to thaw for dinner! :D

Mmmmmm....:rolleyes:think I'll make it this Saturday
