2 lb lean ground beef
2 med onions; chopped
1 clove garlic; minced
2 cooking apples, peeled, cored and chopped
3 small jalapeno peppers, seeded, sliced into thin strips
1/2 cup raisins
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp pepper
4 cups hot cooked rice ; use no salt
Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a Dutch oven. Add next 6
ingredients cover and reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Serve over
hot cooked rice. 8 servings. (about 94 milligrams sodium per
serving).
