Do you have a favorite meal that you like to cook for your family?

My DH is very picky! Here are a few of his favorites:

Poppy Seed Chicken
Steak
Homemade Hamburgers
Meatloaf

I like to make my own spaghetti sauce and then make lasagna.

I also like to make a full turkey dinner with all of the trimmings but that doesnt happen too often.

My DD always asks me to make her bran rolls and cream cheese braids when she comes to visit. The recipes are posted here as well.

My very favorite meal to prepare is a good ol' Southern Sunday dinner of Fried Chicken, Rice with cream gravy, Corn on the cob (in season) or Peas, Buttermilk Biscuits with jam, Celery sticks, Olives & asst. Pickles & either a big tossed Garden Salad (DH grows all our salad veggies) or a Fruit Salad. For dessert either my Mom's Devils Food Cake w/ 7 minute icng, or DH's fav. Southern Banana Puddin', or a fruit pie with whatever's in season (mmm, strawberry!).

My other favorite is the classic American Pot Roast, braised long & slow with aromatics & herbs & a nice splash (or two!) of red wine. Served with potatoes, carrots & onions that share the ol' iron pot with the roast & accompanied by fragrant hot gravy. Homemade Yeast Rolls, Southern-style Fresh Green Beans. Dessert would depend on my guests tastes & my own mood.....Mom's Shoebox Cake with her rich Caramel Icing, or maybe an Apple Pie, or a dish of homemade Ice Cream with Toll House cookies to nibble on........or Gingerbread.......or a Pound Cake......

I'm with Barbszy on this one! But right off the bat I can think of a good staple we all enjoy--Stock pot full of Vegetarian Chili and a big bowl of Mayonnaise Potato Salad! With Chocolate Chip Cookies for Dessert; homemade of course!

My DH is happy as long as meat and/or potatoes are the main ingredient! LOL
