Since we have a forum for recipes From Around The Globe this chart might come in handy!

Milk 1 liter...1.06 quarts

Butter 1 kilogram...2.2 pounds

Lemon Juice 1 gram...0.035 ounces

Flour 1 liter...4.23 cups

Sugar 1 milliliter...0.067 tablespoons

Salt 1 milliliter...0.203 teaspoons

Water 1 liter...2.1 pints

Measuring Cups usually show both ounces and grams or cups and milliliters, but if not :

1 cup = 250 milliliters (ml)

1/4 cup = 62-1/2 ml

1 teaspoon = 5 ml

1 tablespoon = 15 ml

1 pint = 0.47 liter (l)

1 quart = 0.95 l

1 gallon = 3.8 l

1 liter = 2.1 pint

1 liter = 1.06 quart

Hi,

Have you seen the new angel measuring cups at Target, they are so cool and also Lowe's carries them. You are able to pour in and see the measurement from the top. They have 3 sizes and now they have a small one out.

Also I went to Dollar General store and found some cool inexpensive white meauring cups and spoons with the measurements plus the ml measurements.

Enjoy!

Hi,

Also at Target they have the plastic covers with vents in them so you can just put over a plate of food to heat up in microwave.

At Big Lots they have the same thing but a smaller one for smaller plates and bowls. They are awesome!

You can heat up food and take one out of the microwave, leave the cover on and it stays hot while you heat up other foods. Enjoy!

My Pyrex measuring cups have a metric side as well as a non-metric side. It sure is convenient.
