Crunchy "Croutons"

You will be amazed how great these are tossed with green salads and sprinkled on steamed veggies!

Ingredients:
2/3 cup slivered almonds
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Directions:

1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.

2. In a shallow baking pan, toss the slivered almonds with the olive oil.
3. Spread the almonds so they are in a single layer in the pan. Whisk the parmesan cheese with the garlic salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the almonds with the cheese mixture.
4. Pop into the preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Stir the almonds once while baking until that magic color … "golden brown!" Cool and store in the fridge.

I tried regular roasted almonds on a salad last night at work for the first time, and was skeptical, but it was very good! I immediately thought of this recipe after I ate that salad and am looking forward to making these soon
