I new here and haven't had a chance to get to the Intro. Forum yet..but i will. But right now I'm trying to make the chicken w/ Italian dressing recipe under the 5 ingred. forum and discovered I don't have any Italian dressing. Is thre anything I can use in place of the Ital. dressing and it still turn out tasting good?
Thanks & glad to have found this site!!

You can try to substitute the italian dressing with a vegetable stock, and add onion powder, more garlic powder, paprika, celery seed. Just increase the amount of each of the seasonings a little at a time till you get a flavor you like. Depending on how salty your stock is, you may need to add some salt. Let us know if this works for you. If you don't end up liking the substitution try it with the Italian dressing next time, it's a good marinade on steaks too!

Thanks...I will try that next time. I ended up using my Sweet Vidala Onion Salad dressing and it was delicious! Actually I just finished the leftover potatoes for lunch today. They were fighting over the last pieces of chicken...LOL.
