INGREDIENTS:

4 cups water, divided
1 1/2 tablespoons plain yogurt (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/) with active cultures
1 3/4 cups dry milk (http://www.momsmenu.com/forums/) powder

DIRECTIONS:

Pour 2 cups of water into a sealable 1 quart container, and stir in the yogurt until dissolved. Whisk in powdered milk until completely blended. Fill with remaining water, and stir. Close the lid, and set in a warm place for 12 to 15 hours. I use a gas oven (turned off), or even a heating pad. Refrigerate, until chilled before serving.I used the hot outside overnight (it was about 90 degrees).

Have you ever added anything to make a flavor yogurt or can that be done?

Still working on this one...added honey and vanilla extract to the most recent batch...didn't taste much different than plain. I am searching for the illusive "tastes like store bought so my kids'll eat it" kind. When I find a good mix, I'll post.

That would be great if you can find that secret! Can't wait on that one! LOL

Would blueberry maybe be made with some fresh blueberries and maybe some blueberry juice or jelly mixed in th plain?
