2 cups dried lentils, washed
4 frankfurters, cut into 1" pieces
1 celery stalk, cut into 1/4" pieces
2 cups water
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp sugar
4 tbsp butter

Place all ingredients except butter in slow cooker, cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or till lentils are completely soft. If any cooking liquid remains before serving turn heat to HIGH and simmer, uncovered, till moisture is gone. Beat butter into lentils and serve. Makes 8 to 10 servings
