Canned Cherries

7 teaspoons artificial sweetener
7 pints boiling water
7 pints cherries
Makes 7 pints

Fill sterilized pint jars really full with cherries.
Add 1 teaspoon sweetener per pint.
Fill jars with boiling water.
Water bath can them for 25 minutes.
For sour cherries double or triple the sweetener.
Pressure cooker 5 lbs. for 10 minutes.

What would you use these for after they are canned?

Many people use them as a snack. You can also use them as topping for ice cream or cheese cake and in baked goods. I never really thought about it it but I would think we could get creative and come up with many things to use them for.Would be fun to experiement with.

Hopefully I will get a chance to can some before its too late this season.
