7-Up Pound Cake

Ingredients:

2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 (7-ounce) bottle 7-Up
1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest

Cream margarine and shortening with sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon extract and zest; add flour and 7-Up alternately, beating after each addition. Bake in a greased and floured Bundt or tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 ½ hours, or until cake tests done.
