Chocolate Biscuit Mix

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup pecans, finely chopped
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, mini chips

In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Place about 2 cups mix in each
of 2 resealable bags. Store in refrigerator. Give with serving instructions.

Yield: about 4 cups mix (2 gifts)

To Serve: Store mix in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Preheat oven to 425*. Place mix in a medium bowl. Add 1/3 cup milk; stir just until a soft dough forms. On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a 2-inch-diameter biscuit cutter to
cut out biscuits. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Serve warm.

Yield: about 1 dozen biscuits
