1 package (2 1/2 ounce) spaghetti sauce mix 8 ounce cottage cheese 2 cup medium egg noodles (uncooked) 1 tablespoon dried basil Salt to taste 3 cups canned tomatoes (save juice) 1 cup water 2 cup grated cheese of your choice Brown hamburger in skillet; sprinkle 1/2 of spaghetti sauce mix over meat. Spread cottage cheese in layer over meat. Arrange uncooked noodles on top. Sprinkle with remaining sauce mix, basil, and salt. Add tomatoes with liquid, and water, until thoroughly moistened. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until noodles are done. Sprinkle cheese on top; cover and let stand 10-15 minutes before serving. |
