1/4 cup butter (I use unsalted butter)
2 pounds large raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup chopped parsley, preferably Italian (I have used dried, but fresh
Italian is better)
Lemon wedges

1. Heat the butter in a skillet and fry the shrimp on all sides for about
five minutes, or until cooked, shaking the pan over high heat to turn the
shrimp. Sprinkle the shrimp with the salt and pepper and place on a hot
serving plate.
2. To the butter remaining in the skillet, add the garlic and parsley. Stir
for thirty seconds and pour over the shrimp. Serve with lemon wedges.
I serve this with rice or pasta.
