Cheese 'N Ale Soup Serves 6 2/3 cup shredded carrots 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup margarine 1/4 cup flour 3 cups milk 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1/2 cup ale or beer dash of salt & pepper ----------------------------- Cook carrots & onion in margarine until tender; blend in flour. Stir in milk; cook until thickened. Add cheese; stir until melted. Blend in ale or beer & seasonings; heat.
