Mexican Salad Serves 4-61 lb. ground beef 1/4 cup chopped onion 2 cups (1 lb. can) kidney beans, drained 1/2 cup spicy sweet French dressing 1/2 cup water 1 T. chili powder * * * * * * * 4 cups shredded lettuce 1/2 cup sliced green onions 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese ------------------------------- Brown meat; drain. Add onion & cook until tender. Stir in beans, dressing, water, & chili powder; simmer 15 minutes. Combine lettuce & green onions. Add meat sauce & 1 1/2 cups cheese; toss lightly. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve with crisp tortillas, if desired.
