Cape Anne Chowder

Cape Anne Chowder
Serves 6-8

2 cups thinly sliced onions
2 T. margarine
2 T. flour
2 cups water
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup sliced celery
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. cod or haddock, skinned,
boned, cooked, & cut into pieces
1- 7 1/2 oz. can crabmeat, drained,
flaked
2 cups milk
2 1/2 cup (10 oz.) shredded Cracker
Barrel Brand Sharp Natural Cheddar
cheese

Cook onions in margarine until tender;
blend in flour. Stir in water, potatoes,
celery, & seasonings. Cover & simmer 20
minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Add remaining ingredients; stir until
cheese is melted.
