1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 5 tablespoons vinegar 1/3 cup thinly sliced onions 3 - 10 oz boxes frozen green beans Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet, leaving drippings. Add water, sugar, salt, vinegar and onion to drippings. Mix well and bring to a simmer. Add beans and cook for 15 minutes. Just before serving, crumble bacon over top. |
