1 pound ground beef
1 package of taco seasoning
1 medium onion finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon of Tony Chachere's seasoning
1/2 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup of water
1 package of soft tortillas
2 large tomatoes
1/2 shredded lettuce
1 package of shredded cheddar & monterrey jack cheese
1 small bottle of Picante Sauce

In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onions, drain fat. Add minced garlic, Tony Chachere's and taco seasoning and mix well. Add water (stirring consistently) and bring to a slow boil. Simmer for 12 minutes.

While meat mixture is preparing, cut tomatoes in cubic squares and add to lettuce (make sure you wash the tomatoes and lettuce before preparation).

Toss as though you are making a salad, then chill.

Take two paper towels, place one in the microwave. Place the soft
tortilla(s) on the paper towel separately, not stacked and place the other paper towel on top. Microwave on medium for 5 to 7 seconds or until warm.

Fill tortillas with meat mixture, lettuce and tomatoes. Sprinkle cheese on top and add picante sauce to your desire. Fold taco and serve!

Makes approx.. 10 tacos
Preparation time: less than 30 minutes
