Sheppards Casserole

1/2 lb ground beef (browned)
1/2 lb ground turkey(browned)
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can peas
1 sm onion(diced)
12 oz. sharp cheddar(shredded)
6 cups prepared mashed potato
1 tsp garlic
salt & pepper to taste


mix ground meats together with seasonings and onion, cook until browned.
Drain meat mixture, set aside. Spray lg. casserole dish with non stick cooking spray.
Next put half of the potato in the casserole dish for the first layer.
Place the ground meat on top of the potato layer. Following that use 8 oz.
of the shredded cheese to layer on top of the meat. The next layer will be the two vegetables.
Now put the rest of the mashed potatos on as the top layer. Cover with foil and bake at 375 for about 45
min. Take foil off sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for another 10 minutes. Let sit for
5 min. then serve and enjoy!
