4 c. potatoes, sliced thin 1 c. onions, sliced thin 2 tbs. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tbs. butter 3/4 c. grated swiss cheese 1 1/2 c. milk Oven temp. 350F. Combine flour, salt and pepper in small bowl and set aside. Pare and slice potatoes and onions. Grease a shallow casserole dish. Place half of the potatoes in the casserole dish. Sprinkle half of the flour mixture over the potatoes and t hen add half the onions. half the butter, then half of the swiss cheese. Repeat in the same order using the rest of the potatoes, flour mixture, onions, butter and swiss cheese. Pour the milk over all. Cover and bake for 30 min. Remove the cover and bake for 45 m in. to 1 hr. until potatoes are tender and lightly browned. 6 servings.
