1/2 pound sausage
1/2 pound hamburger
1/2 cup onion -- diced
3 cloves garlic -- diced
1 quart tomatoes (or large can)
1 large can tomato paste
3 tablespoons sweet basil
3 tablespoons parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lasagna noodles
mozzarella cheese -- shredded
24 ounces cottage cheese
Parmesan cheese -- grated
In a large skillet, crumble sausage and hamburger- lightly brown. Drain. Remove from skillet. Saute onion and garlic in skillet. Return meat to skillet. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Simmer 45 minutes.
While simmering, cook lasagna noodles in salted boiling water- blanch, drain and seperate.
After sauce is cooked, arrange in 9 X 13-inch baking dish in following order: 1/4 sauce, 1/3 noodles, 1 layer shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/3 can cottage cheese and end with meat sauce on top, then sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake 40 minutes at 325*F. Cool for 15 minutes and serve.

NOTES : It's a good idea to split up ingredients evenly and put into 2- 9 X 13-inch baking dishes.
