Pizza Sauce

1-14 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1- 6 oz can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tblsp parmesan cheese (optional)
1/2 tsp fennel seeds (optional)

Mix together all ingredients in a large saucepan, bring to boiling then reduce heat and simmer about an hour, or until desired thickness is reached.

Stir often to prevent burning. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Pour over 2 to 3 prepared 12 to 13 inch pizza crusts, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then add toppings. If desired add more mozzarella, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until crust is brown, and cheese has melted.

You can use any or all of the following toppings:

Meats: ham, bacon, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, anchovies, Italian sausage &
hamburger, (cook and drain any uncooked meats before adding to the pizza).

Vegetables: onion, green and/or red peppers, mushrooms & black olives

Cheese: mozzarella, cheddar & parmesan
