 Peanut Butter Jam Bars |

1/2 cup brown sugar 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup shortning 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup jelly take one cup batter and set aside. spread batter in 11x 8 in cake pan, spread jelly on top of batter then sprinkle remaining batter on top. bake 15 to 20 min at 350 degrees. GLAZE: 2 tablespoons of butter, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. bring to a boil and pour on top of cake when cake is done. |
