Damn Good Chili Recipe By : Presto magazine ad Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method Heat cooker and brown ground meat, onion, green pepper and garlic. Add remaining ingredients except, kidney beans. Close cover securely. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe; cook 5 minutes. Let pressure drop of its own accord. Add kidney beans and heat through. Note: *Up to 2 cans of kidney beans may be added. Increase cayenne and/or chili powder for hotter chili. I don't use a pressure cooker.....just a regular deep iron skillet! Serve with hot buttered cornbread.
NOTES : *I also added cut-up tomatoes because we like them in chili, and a tablespoon of brown sugar, which is optional. |
