Deep Dish Pizza Pie

1 unbaked 9-in. pastry shell
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
3/4 c. chopped onion
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp dried whole oregano
1/8 tsp pepper
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1 can tomato sauce
3 slices cheddar cheese

Price bottom and sides of pastry shell with fork; bake at 425° for 6-8
minutes. Let cool. combine sausage and chopped onion and cook until
sausage is browned; drain well. Combine eggs, milk and seasonings; beat lightly. Stir in sausage mixture and shredded cheese; spoon into pastry shell. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes or until filling is set. Spread pie with pizza sauce and top with cheddar cheese slices. Bake an additional 5-8 minutes until cheese melts.
