1 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup unsifted confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 box or bag (4 - 5 oz.) Milk Chocolate Stars

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream shortening and sugar; blend in
vanilla extract. Add flour and salt and mix until blended. Wrap
about 2 teaspoons of dough around each chocolate star. Bake 10 - 12
minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. (Cookies will brown on bottom
only.) Cool briefly and then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Frost and decorated as desired.*

Makes about 40 cookies.
