Put 1/2 cup of butter (melted) in a 13 by 9 inch pan.Then add 1/4 cup brown sugar, l cup chopped nuts, and 1 cup flour. Mix this in the pan and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly and crumble in the pan. Cover with 1 can cherry pie or apricot pie filling. Top with cool whip and chill.
