1 uncooked 9-inch pie shell with fluted edge
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white flour
pinch of salt
1/2 cup white cane syrup
1/2 cup dark cane syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
3 eggs
1 cup broken or chopped pecans
pecan halves (optional)

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add syrups and
flour, salt and beat in flavoring and extract. Stir in pecans
and pour mixture into pie shell. Bake in preheated 425 degree
oven for 10 minutes. Lower heat to 325 degrees and bake 30
minutes longer or until center is firm when tested with blade of
knife. Pie will set more when cooled. Remove from oven and cool
on wire rack. Top of uncooked pie may be decorated with pecan
halves before baking.
