1/4 C. butter or margarine 1/4 C. flour 1 C. poultry broth 1/2 C. heavy cream 1/2 C. dry white wine salt/pepper 1/8 tsp. Worchestershire sauce 2 C. cooked poultry 1/3 C. grated parmesan cheese Cook broccoli until barely tender. Drain; arrange in buttered 1 1/2 quart size casserole, or individual casseroles if preferred. In separate saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour. Add broth and cream. Cook until smooth, stirring constantly. Stir in wine. Salt and pepper to taste and Worchestershire sauce. Top with poultry. Cover with sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, in pre-heated oven 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Serves 4. |
