I preserve pears in 1/2 pint jars in the normal manner, leaving enough room for 4 tablespoons of brandy in each jar. Add red food coloring to half of the total amount of jars and green food coloring to the balance. These pears can be inverted around your turkey for presentation, or even a ham. They make an attractive platter and an interesting condiment. The juice could be used over ice cream or whatever?
