Peel about 6 or more potatoes and then put in a pan with water. Boil until potatoes are tender. Pour off water and put potatoes in a bowl and mash with butter and milk. After potatoes have cooled add 1 or 2 eggs and cracker crumbs. Make into patties and fry on both sides in small amount of oil in a frying pan until brown on both sides. Serve plain or with sour cream or applesauce. This recipe can be made either with fresh potatoes or left over mashed potatoes.
